PRCA announces Polpeo as new crisis communications partner

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has today announced a new partnership with Polpeo, a global leader in crisis simulation, to help PRCA members build resilience and enhance their crisis response skills.

The best way to learn is through experience. Only by going through a crisis can organisations truly identify the breakpoints in their plans and processes—far better to do so in a safe, controlled environment than under public scrutiny. Polpeo’s crisis simulations provide PR professionals with hands-on experience, preparing them to manage real-world crises with confidence.

As part of this partnership, Polpeo will play a key role in PRCA’s crisis communications initiatives. They will sponsor and lead industry discussions at major events, including the PRCA UK Conference and Leadership Academies each year. A dedicated crisis event will offer members deep insights into managing high-pressure situations, and a UK-wide crisis simulation roadshow will provide hands-on learning in key locations, starting with Manchester in 2025.

Polpeo’s excellence in crisis training has been recognised globally, with the company recently shortlisted for the EMEA SABRE Awards 2025.

PRCA Interim CEO Sarah Waddington CBE said:

"Crisis preparedness is an essential skill for every communicator. Polpeo’s innovative simulations give PR professionals the opportunity to experience the pressure of a real crisis in a controlled setting, ensuring they are ready when the stakes are high.

“We’re excited to bring the team’s valuable expertise to our members through this partnership. The leadership of Kate Hartley and Tamara Littleton has been instrumental in shaping Polpeo’s success, and we look forward to working with them to develop crisis readiness across the industry.”

Tamara Littleton, Co-Founder, Polpeo, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to continue to support the PRCA with this long term partnership and we look forward to the crisis initiatives we have planned and helping shape the industry together.”

Stay tuned for upcoming events and training opportunities as PRCA and Polpeo work together to strengthen crisis communications across the industry.
