The PRCA brings Matchmaker service back in house, appoints Debbie Little as Head of Matchmaker

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is pleased to announce the refreshment of its Matchmaker service, now brought in house to enhance the experience for the PRCA members. The association has appointed Debbie Little as the Head of Matchmaker, leveraging her extensive industry experience to revitalise the service for PRCA CMS members.

The PRCA Matchmaker service is specifically designed to assist individuals and organisations in finding the right PR and communications support. Whether clients are reviewing their current agency, tendering contracts, or seeking an agency for a project, the specialist matching service simplifies the PR and communications landscape, saving significant time and money.

The PRCA partnered with Ingenuity to provide the service and will continue to work with them on large projects that assist the PR and communications industry. Ingenuity's expertise and dedication have been instrumental in the success of the PRCA Matchmaker service, and their ongoing support is highly valued.

Under Debbie's leadership, the revitalised Matchmaker service will deliver the following benefits to the PRCA members:

  1. Enhanced service: Members can expect an elevated level of service from Matchmaker, providing them with tailored assistance in finding the right PR and communications consultancies.
  2. Dedicated point of contact: Members will have a dedicated in-house Matchmaker point of contact, ensuring a personalized experience and streamline communication throughout the matching process.
  3. Opportunity for relaunch: Matchmaker will be reintroduced to both PRCA members and brand owners, emphasizing its value and the benefits of partnering with agencies that have achieved the Communication Management Standard (CMS).
  4. Front-of-Mind awareness: The PRCA will actively remind PRCA members and brand owners of the value of using agencies listed in the Matchmaker service.

To access the Matchmaker service, agencies must be CMS accredited in the UK. This accreditation serves as the industry's ISO9001 and Investors in People equivalent.

The accreditation process is overseen by Carol Magill, and is now conducted entirely online, offering a transparent and supported approach based on the PRCA members' views on best practices. CMS is not only an opportunity for Matchmaker but also serves as a self-improvement tool for organisations/agencies. Carol provides a free 20-minute discovery call for agencies seeking more information about the CMS process.
