The Romans duo wins 2025 UK Young Lions Competition
The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has today announced that Jack Colman and Beth Arnold from The Romans have won the UK Young Lions Competition 2025 for their ‘The Handmaids Tail’ campaign. The duo will go on to represent the UK at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Responding to a brief set by Cats Protection, the UK's largest cat welfare charity, Jack and Beth beat a field of 48 teams with their campaign ‘The Handmaids Tail’. The teams had 24 hours to respond to a brief to help encourage responsible cat acquisition.
Beth Arnold and Jack Colman said:
“Alexa, what’s the forecast in Cannes? We are hugely excited to be representing the UK and The Romans on the global stage. Stay tuned.”
Judge Amy Jones, Creative Director, Hope&Glory and Chair of PRCA Creative Group, said:
“All entries should be very proud of their efforts, the judges felt the standard was high, particularly given they had a tricky brief this year. The shortlisted teams gave us some interesting debates – but the winners had a unique approach. Combining a creative and a corporate brain worked for them, which alongside an untouchable presenting style and interesting leaping point gave them the edge. A well-deserved win for this team.”
