Press release -

Ukraine Comms Support Network Joins the Business for Ukraine Coalition (B4Ukraine)

The Ukraine Communication Support Network (UCSN) has today joined the Business for Ukraine Coalition (B4Ukraine) as part of a global effort to encourage businesses to cut ties with Russia.

B4Ukraine is an initiative designed and driven by a range of organisations and individuals committed to businesses’ responsible exit from the Russian market in response to its unprovoked, full-scale war on Ukraine. Members include a range of civil society groups, think tanks and researchers, social enterprises, and concerned professionals.

UCSN urges the PR and communications industry to support the people and territorial integrity of sovereign democratic Ukraine by abiding by the calls and expectations set forth in the B4Ukraine Declaration.

The Declaration’s purpose is clear: to block access to the economic and financial resources enabling Russian aggression.

By endorsing the Declaration, your organisation is also joining the B4Ukraine Coalition. This means your organisation’s name and logo will appear on the B4Ukraine website and on the published Declaration.

There are two options for membership: active and supportive.

  • Active membership is for those who wish to be involved in Coalition advocacy and strategic decision making. These members will participate in regular B4Ukraine strategy calls and information-sharing sessions. They communicate on Signal, and receive the weekly notes from the meetings.
  • Supportive membership is for those who support the vision and mission of the Coalition but who do not have the capacity to play an active role at the moment. They will occasionally be contacted with requests to sign on to letters/statements, via the B4Ukraine GoogleGroup. They will also stay informed with a weekly information Mailer posted via same Group.

Organisations and individuals that are interested in joining the B4Ukraine Coalition and endorsing the Declaration should contact UCSN Co-Chair Nataliya Popovych: np@one-philosophy.com

UCSN Co-Chair Nataliya Popovych said:

“The best advice public relations consultants can provide to their clients today is to exit Russia and to stay out of it so that the territory of the rules-based order in the world has a chance to recover. Businesses making compromises on ethics and accountability today will suffer greatly tomorrow because there simply won’t be a free and just chessboard for them to play.”

UCSN Co-Chair David Gallagher FPRCA said:

“It’s essential for PR firms - both as businesses in their own right and as advisors to the world’s biggest brands and most influential companies - continue to stand with Ukraine and the rule of law.”
